Gold-filled jewelry care
To polish your gold-filled jewelry, avoid using clothing, towels or tissues to polish jewelry. Its abrasive qualities can scratch your jewelry. Instead, use a generic microfiber cloth to remove scuffing.
Regularly clean your jewelry using mild soap and water. Do not scrub!
While the products are more durable than plated products, they are still metal that can be scratched and dull over time. To keep them shiny, consider limiting wear to activities that won’t scratch the surface of the bracelet. The larger beads (8mm and 10mm) have a larger surface area, so scratches and spots are more obvious. They will likely need more regular care than then smaller beads.In very rare cases,for some people, gold-filled can tarnish. If this happens, please contact us and we can give direction on how you can attempt to clean your jewelry.We DO NOT replace tarnished jewelry.
Apply lotions, perfumes and makeup BEFORE putting on your bracelets. Avoiding long term exposure to chlorine is also recommended.
Sterling Silver jewelry care
Sterling silver is considered stronger than solid silver but it is softer than gold filled metal, and can be prone to scratching if not treated with care.
Sterling Silver naturally tarnishes (turns brown or black). Exposure to chemicals found in pools, hot tubs and even the ocean can react to the silver causing it to tarnish more rapidly. For that reason, we suggest you take off your jewelry before going into a pool/hot tub/ocean.
In addition, various household products contain Sulphur which is very corrosive and should be avoided. Mustard, mayonnaise, rubber, steel wool..etc. are all examples of products that should not come into contact with your silver.
While seemingly counterintuitive, the oils on your skin and body chemistry may actually help to preserve the sterling silver. That said, there are times and examples in which certain people cause the oxidation of the silver to increase. This can be highly dependent on the foods we eat, alcohol consumption and various medication. Sweat, which ammonia occurs in, raises the acidity of the skin and could tarnish the silver.

To deep clean your silver you can use silver cleaning products on the market but we DO NOT recommend soaking your stretchy bracelets as this can compromise the elastic interior!
The perception that silver jewelry that tarnishes is made of a less silver content, is incorrect and a myth. The oxidation of silver jewelry is completely normal.
Gemstone jewelry care
Discolouration between beads means that it’s time to clean them. We recommend to first gently scrub your gemstone beads with a soft damp cloth. If there is persistent grime, you can add in a small amount of mild soap.
OTHER NOTES:
While our jewelry is hypoallergenic, on rare occasion individual body chemistry can react with the metal and cause a reaction. Due to the natural nature of gemstones, there are variations in striations, imperfections and colouring.
STORING JEWELRY
When not wearing your jewelry, we recommend you store it in an airtight container or ziplock bag to extend its longevity.

Our jewelry is longer lasting than plated products but it is still important to take care not to scratch the outer shell. Avoid abrasion when possible to extend the longevity of your jewelry.
To further extend the longevity of your jewelry remove your pieces when applying beauty products (lotions, perfumes, hair products, etc.)
While you can wear your jewelry in water, avoid prolonged exposure to chlorine, pools, and hot tubs. ESPECIALLY SILVER.
While our jewelry is hypoallergenic, on rare occasion individual body chemistry can react with the metal and cause a reaction.
Certain conditions can affect body alkalinity versus acidity, and may cause a reaction with your piece.

Sizing Information

The very best way of determining your size is by measuring your wrist.

If you don’t have a soft measure tape, simply use a piece of string and compare the length on a measuring tape or ruler. Use our size guide to find your closest size.

**If you measure exactly 6.5”, either size will work for you. If you prefer a looser fit, choose M/L.

If your wrist is larger than 7.5" please select L+ and indicate the measurement in the notes when checking out of your cart.

Kids Sizing: Using the same method, measure your child’s wrist.

For a comfortable fit, go up .5". for a looser fit, go up 1.0".

Shipping

Canadian Shipping:

Due to the value of our items, shipping of all orders over $68 CAD includes tracking and insurance. 

Customers can opt to choose regular post for orders under $68, however, selecting this option is at the risk of the buyer, as there is no way for us to recover costs on lost product. Rosie Joan is NOT responsible for packages that are not tracked or insured.

If you selected "Regular Post shipping" and do not receive your package, it is advised to Canada post to wait for up to a month for delivery.

Shipping rates and delivery timelines are generated by Canada Post based on the customer's Postal code.

Please note that we are not a large corporation. Our shipments are sent in batches week to week.

Order processing can take between 2-4 business days. (shipping times during high volume sales may be slightly longer.)

If orders are not picked up in time and returned to Rosie Joan, the customer is responsible for paying for additional incurred shipping costs.

Local Delivery Option

Customers who live within the Town of Okotoks will be able to select Delivery for a small fee. Orders are delivered once a week and left on the front porch/step. If you wish to make alternate delivery arrangements, please email support@rosiejoan.ca.

Please note that residents that live in a condo or apartment that do not have front door access are not eligible for delivery. We arer unable to deliver to PO Boxes or Rural addresses outside of the Town of Okotoks. Our system sometimes allows Delivery to be selected but for those who live outside of town, an additional invoice will be sent to cover cost of shipping.


Rosie Joan is not responsible for lost or stolen packages with a confirmed delivery. If you select 'LOCAL DELIVERY', the purchaser accepts responsibility of any lost or stolen packages.

U.S. shipping

Due to the value of our items, all of our shipping includes tracking and insurance.  Shipping rates and delivery timelines are generated by Canada Post.

Shipping times to the U.S. can be 4-30+ business days.

Rosie Joan is not responsible for delays at Customs. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.

DELAYS

Rosie Joan is not responsible for lost or stolen orders showing confirmed delivery. 

We are also not responsible for packages delivered to incorrect shipping addresses or not collected in time. Please make sure your address is correct at checkout.

In the unfortunate event that your package goes missing, we will try our best to help track it down. Please understand that once it leaves our hands it is now the responsibility of the Postal Service to get it to you safely.

Please make sure your address is correct when you check out. If a package is lost or stolen, it is the responsibility of the customer to request a missing package claim.

Returns & Repairs

Returns

Returns are only available on bracelets & necklaces purchased within the last 21 days based on the following criteria:

1 - Unworn and unused merchandise with original tags still attached may be returned for store credit following the below protocol.

2 - Customer must contact Rosie Joan using the below form within ONE WEEK of receiving your products (Based on shipping time stamp date received).

3 - Items must be returned no later than 21 days from date of delivery to receive a store credit. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO OUR BRACELETS BEING MADE TO ORDER, A SMALL RESTOCKING FEE MAY APPLY.

4 - All earrings and items purchased at an in person market are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange. No exceptions.

5 - Items purchased during a Final Sale are not eligible for return or exchange.

6 - Once the return has been shipped, please keep record of your tracking information. When the return item is received, it will be processed within 5-10 business days. Rosie Joan is not responsible for lost packages. ALL jewelry must be shipped in a bubble mailer.

7 - Once your return has been processed, you will then be sent an email containing a Rosie Joan E-Gift card code in the amount of the item returned not including any initial or return shipping charges. 

8 - Store credit will be issued for all returns.  We do not give refunds to the original form of payment. Store credits do not expire.

WRONG SIZE

If you have ordered an incorrect size, you can mail your product back for a store credit following the above protocol and a new order in the correct size can be placed.

If it is sold out item, we can restring the product to the correct size for a fee.

Damaged Items

If you receive a damaged piece, please reach out and let us know via email within 48 hours of receiving your package.

Rosie Joan is not responsible for damaged jewelry after this time.

Special Note:  The tarnishing nature of silver is a natural occurrence. The speed at which the metal oxidizes is dependant upon a multitude of factors. Please visit the Jewelry Care page for details.

On very rare occasions, gold-filled jewelry can tarnish for some people. You can contact us for recommendations on methods to attempt to remove the tarnish.

Rosie Joan will NOT exchange any tarnished jewelry.

While we take great care in selecting our gemstones that are used in our products, these elements are natural occurring. This means that there is variation in colour, striations, imperfections and flaws that you would find in any naturally occurring element. Please take great care with these pieces as they can chip or break.

As mentioned above, please notify us within 48 hours if there is anything abnormal with your gemstone item.

Re-stringing

REPAIRS ARE AVAILABLE ON BRACELETS UP TO 6 MONTHS OLD, 3 MONTHS FOR NECKLACES.

The inside of our bracelets is strung with a durable, latex-free cord. Over time, the elastic can break down and can break. If this happens, save your beads and contact us at support@rosiejoan.ca

We can re-string your beads for a fee. Shipping costs must be covered by the customer.

Please note that we can repair necklaces up to 90 days after purchase for a fee. Please contact support@rosiejoan.ca for further info.

Repairs
